There are many aspects that affect the quality of SMC/BMC materials during the production process:
• Accuracy of raw material weighing. • Homogeneity of mixing and mixing of various raw materials. • Rationality of the changeover procedure for the production of different products. • Control of production environment: temperature, humidity.
Transportation, storage and use process control:
• As microchemical materials, SMC and BMC have a certain molding application period. Materials that have been stored for longer than the specified expiration date, or that have been stored for longer than the specified expiration date, but have not been properly stored and transported, will also affect the use of the material and the quality of the final product. • Due to the volatile styrene monomer contained in BMC, it is packaged in a film that is impermeable to styrene. After the package is opened, the volatilization of styrene will cause the surface of the material to turn white, and at the same time cause the change of the material, so it should be used as soon as possible after opening to avoid styrene volatilization.
Materials should be stored and transported in a dry environment not exceeding 25 °C, protected from light and heat, and kept in their original packaging and sealed.
